The countdown to Antarctica has begun - leaving Boston on December 6th. Geoff has never had any interest in this adventure, so he will be sitting this one out. Instead, I am traveling with my friend, Kate. Her husband has no desire, as well, for this experience. Although, I think his reluctance lies in crossing Drake's Passage, a two day crossing of one of the world's most roughest seas.
Before venturing down to the bottom of the earth, we will be spending four days in Buenos Aires. After which, we fly to Ushuaia and board the Silverseas Silver Cloud for a ten day cruise.
